It fills my heart with pride to be part of something that honors and revives our rich culture. Our history is one of resilience—a story our youth must know. Our ancestors endured unimaginable pain—genocide, discrimination, and the constant fear that came with having to hide who they truly were. Our culture was silenced, pushed to the edge of erasure.
Even today, many among us struggle to say the words: “I am Hazara.” But we must change that.
May 19th is more than a date—it is a symbol of survival, of identity, and of pride. It’s the day we should all stand tall and say, “Yes, I am a Hazara—and I am proud.”
